PRE-SCHOOL
The Preschool room caters for 24 children in total aged 42 months to 60 months. The learning environment is zoned; creative, sand area, small world, communication, books & stories, mark making, construction, investigation area, maths imaginative play and physical/active play are planned for each week to ensure that the 7 areas of learning are met.
The role play area is presently a home corner, each term we will introduce new role play areas to enhance the children's understanding of the world around them.
The children are encouraged to be as independent as possible at meal times. We provide opportunity for the children to ‘self-serve’ their own snacks and meals which also enables them to make choices for themselves. The children have direct access to the toileting area which enables them to independently meet their care needs. Children are encouraged to have good hygiene practices and ensure hand washing is completed as and when required.
